Welcome Survey (hand out)- students need to use complete sentences and be thorough

Day 2- November 26th

  • Moodle login- Student Username and Password
  • Syllabus review
  • Homework:  Course contract

Monday, December 2nd- Day 4

  • Objective:  Gain an understanding of the concept of animation
  • Animation Unit- Finish Flip book
  • Must have a minimum of 10 pages
  • Must be drawn neatly
  • Must use color
  • Object must look like it is moving
  • Staple on left hand side
  • DUE: End of class today

Tuesday, December 3rd- Day 5

  • Objective:  Gain an understanding of the concept of animation
  • Animation Worksheet:  Carefully read/review the sections in Moodle titled Types of Motion Capture Animation, Where is Animation Used, and Web Sites and Video Games.  Answer the questions on the worksheet and place in class basket when completed. 
  • Independent time:  Extensions Activities Unit in Moodle

Day 6-8

  • Objective:  Gain an understanding of the concept of animation, creating characters, inserting objects/shapes, duplicating object/shape, grouping object/shapes, merging shapes, using fill effect
  • Students need to Log-in to Moodle and read daily lesson plan
  • Follow the directions on the worksheet and complete as instructed.
  • How to How to Design Cartoon Character in PowerPoint tutorial
  • Step 1- Watch tutorial
  • (show students how to split screen to view two screens at once)
  • Step 2- Create a cartoon character that is identical to the one in the tutorial using the same tools/features that the tutorial used
  • Step 3- Save to your student drive (Create a folder for this class:  name it Tech Apps)
  • Step 4- Show teacher so she can record on grade sheet
