How to Create a Footer

  1. In Word, click on the Insert tab, then choose footer.
  2. Choose the second choice with 3 places that you'll see on the drop-down menu.
  3. In the left position, put your name.
  4. In the middle section, put the category of the assignment or unit.  
  5. In the right section, put the name of this specific assignment.
  6. To close the footer section, click the big red X at the top of your screen.
