IDENTIFYINGSIMILIARITIES AND DIFFERENCES: Have my students create metaphors related to the earth and the moon.  Incorporate with english lesson.

GENERATING AND TESTING HYPOTHESES:  Students will make hypotheses on what the actual distance is between the earth and the moon.

I liked that you have included several subjects into your lesson. That you are using math, science, and now English to help the students learn about the Earth and the moon.

As Ashley said below, it is great that you are incorporating so many academic subjects into your lesson. That is important in helping students attain full literacy!

I think creating a  hypothesis on the distance between the earth and moon is a great idea and a great way for students to try and connect their experience in the world, to something greater than themselves.
